The Mental Health Transformation Programme is starting across Airedale, Wharfedale and Craven in January 2023 bringing together the NHS, voluntary sector and wider organisations and services to work together to transform the way mental health care and support is delivered in your local area.

Over the next three to five years, we hope you begin to find it easier to know where to turn for mental health support and see improvements in the support and care available.  We hope you’ll make use of the many amazing organisations, groups and services that are there for you and that this encourages you to ask for help and to talk about how you are feeling. 

The programme brings together the WACA and AWC Modality Primary Care Networks (both have GP Practices covering all of Airedale, Wharfedale and Craven) , alongside Pioneer Projects (Craven Hubs), Roshni Ghar & Keighley Healthy Living (Airedale & Wharfedale Hubs) .

Craven Communities Together will circulate regular updates on the Transforming Community Mental Health Programme and publish information on its Compass in Craven E-hub platform (https://www.compassehub.com/craven).

Respiratory hubs have been established at each WACA GP Practice, to help manage winter pressures and address the concern regarding same day paediatric care in general practice. The three aims of the service include; improving the quality of childhood acute illness management in primary care, reducing accident and emergency attendance and acute admission for children and supporting general practice with increased capacity in primary care. Appointments are allocated by individual GP practices and are available until the end of March 2023.
